The
term can be found, for example, in McClintock 2010: 85–86, n. 227
(referring to Dunne 2004: 53–79) and is used for rendering Antarjñeyavāda
(Shes bya nang gir smra ba). The Sanskrit term antarjñeyavādin,
contrasted with bāhyārthavādin, is attested, for instance, in Jinendrabuddhi’s Pramāṇasamuccayaṭīkā (vol.
1, p. 90.6). I would like to thank Harunaga Isaacson for pointing out this to
me. See lCang-skya, Dag yig (p. 493.22–25), where
Shes-bya-nang-gir-smra-ba has been listed as a synonym of Yogācāra.
